ORIGINAL:
According to the Boones Mill Volunteer Fire/EMS Facebook page, an "auto-cycle" collided with a tree this morning around 4:54 on White Oak Road. No driver was present when emergency personnel arrived at the scene, and a subsequent search through the heavily wooded area resulted in no individual being located. A thermal camera was also used.
Virginia State Police are still investigating. An "auto-cycle" has the option for a passenger and is built with a motorcycle tire in the back. It steers like a standard vehicle in the front.
