Syracuse, NY -- Central New York car salesman Billy Fuccillo is suing a local auto repair shop, accusing it of failing to pay more than $30,000 in rent on a building along Syracuse’s Auto Row.
The outsized personality, named William B. Fuccillo Sr. in court papers, apparently leased out space at 523 W. Genesee St. to Echo Motors LLC. That building once housed Fuccillo Auto Brokers.
But Echo Motors left that space this fall for Cicero, and Fuccillo now says the repair shop owes $30,000 in back rent, plus interest.
The lease was supposed to run from March 2018 until March 2021, with a rent of $42,000 a year, the lawsuit states. But by October of this year, Echo was behind $30,341.78, according to the lawsuit.
The lawsuit appears to concern only Fuccillo personally, not his dealership empire incorporated under “It’s Huge Inc.”
Echo Motors did not return a call for comment.
