MONTCALM COUNTY, MI – A wholesale automotive parts store house and factory near Greenville erupted into flames Saturday night and nearly 10 fire departments responded to the blaze.
The fire was first reported around 10:30 p.m. at Keystone Automotive Industries, 5835 Vining Road, in Montcalm County’s Montcalm Township, about 2.5 miles north of Greenville. The company refurbishes plastic auto parts.
No one was reported injured in the fire.
Montcalm Township Fire Chief Cliff Dickinson was unavailable for comment.
The fire likely started in the office portion of the building and spread quickly through tunnels within in the building, FOX17 reports.
Windy conditions made the blaze hard to manage and it is unclear if the fire has been controlled.
Montcalm Township fire was reportedly helped by fire departments in Greenville, Maple Valley, Belding, Stanton, as well as northeast Kent County’s Spencer and Oakfield townships.
