... moreAn auto shop employee pursued three people suspected of breaking into cars early Wednesday in the parking lot of the business in southwest Houston, according to police.
All three were eventually taken into custody.
Police said the man saw the three breaking into cars at the shop in the 1700 block of College Street when one of them pulled a gun on him. At that point, the man retreated to an office, and the three took off in the white Cadillac they arrived in, according to Metro Video.
The employee then got into his own car, followed them and called police from his cellphone. Officers were able to catch up to the Cadillac near Beltway 8 and Scott, police said.
The chase ended near Cavenmere and Brunswick Meadow. A female was quickly apprehended. A male ran but was located by patrol officers, police said.
Another male was hiding under a table in a backyard, but a Houston police helicopter was able to use infrared radar to locate him, police said. He was also taken into custody.
